Here's a recap of everything I read in April! Be sure to check out my other posts and my Instagram to see in depth reviews!
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my most anticipated book of the year and it did not disappoint!
Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a good book, but it seemed a little rushed. Maybe someone who is actually a middle-grade reader would like it better
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I didn't hate this book, but something was lacking. I can't quite pinpoint what it is, though.
The Wicked King by Holly Black
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one got a little bit better, but still not one of my favorite books.
March: Book One by John Lewis
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had to read a graphic novel for a library challenge, and this one was fantastic! Easy, quick way to learn more about the Civil Rights movement
The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Again, not great, not horrible. I do not understand the obsession with Cardan. If you like fantasy and fae stuff, try this, but it's not for everyone.
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a typical good-guy, bad-guy story with an oppressive government. Good if you like that kind of stuff, but skip if you don't
An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES!! I don't know why I put off reading it for so long!
All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This gave me the same vibes as The Hate U Give. Fantastic read!
Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Sweet story, but I didn't like the karma part.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Again, GO READ THIS SERIES!!
A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Need I elaborate?
A Sky Beyond the Storm by Sabaa Tahir
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
PLEASE READ THIS SERIES!
Archenemies by Marissa Meyer
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not my favorite book. Sort of predictable.
Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such a good book!!
